RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Create, modify, disable and maintain user accounts across various system.

  • Provide user support and training for users in relation to computer software and hardware.

  • Configure and install new computer systems and associated software.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing computer systems.

  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and software for existing and proposed systems.

  • Maintain or administer systems in area of expertise (e.g., PBX, networking equipment, servers).

  • Develop new and maintain existing software for local and wide area networks.

  • Install, maintain and support audio-visual equipment and peripheral devices.

  • Travel to support local and wide area networks as necessary.

  • Reviewing and maintaining logs (various systems/devices).

  • Conduct all levels of end user technical support.

  • Planning and execution of application and system installations.

  • Installation and administration of servers, workstations and laptops.

  • Be part of a regular on-call rota system for phone support and on-site call out

  • Take direction from SCADA team in relation to SCADA system or tasks.

  • Taking all actions within the scope of the Service in an environmentally responsible manner;

  • Adhering to all Dublin Tunnel environmental systems and procedures;

  • Recording all environmental incidents and follow up with required actions in the correct and agreed format as per the Dublin Tunnel procedures.

  • Comply with requirements of the company’s Integrated Management System

  • Managing, supporting, maintaining and monitoring of: Microsoft Windows (XP/7/8/10) workstations, Active Directory Services, Microsoft Exchange, MS SQL Servers, Web Services, Windows Server Environment (2003/2008/2012R2), Virtual infrastructure based on VMware (vSphere, ESX), Storage (SAN/NAS), Networking services and equipment (Cisco), Security and remote access services (Cisco ASA/Sophos UTM), Communication services (Phone System PABX, broadband connections), Printing and scanning services.

  • Managing, maintaining and performing routine backups and disaster recovery exercises for: physical and virtual workstations/servers, networking and other IT infrastructure equipment (i.e. configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, NAS/NAS)

  • Controlling and managing ICT assets.

  • Creating and maintaining up-to-date all required documentation in relation to ICT services (i.e. Change Control, Drawings, Policies & Procedures (including Disaster Recovery), Forms, guides/instructions for end users and other IT Team Members etc.)

  • Maintaining, supporting and monitoring all critical systems to ensure service and business continuity.

  • Managing and administering security and monitoring systems (Access Control, Firewalls, VPN’s).

  • Manage hardware rollout projects (hardware refresh).

  • Supporting common Office applications (Word, Excel etc.)

  • Threat management, (anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spam)

  • Manage and support file services (NTFS permissions, Shares, AD groups and reporting on same).

  • Managing and maintaining data backups and restores.

  • Developing, implementing and supporting ICT solutions across a broad and diverse business environment.

  • Providing support to internal and external clients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • Knowledge about design, administration, operation and maintenance of Microsoft Servers, Active Directory Services, Windows Domains, Group Policy Objects, File Services, Mail Services (MS Exchange).

  • Network knowledge: TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, VOIP, VPN, VLANs, Subnets, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Wireless Networks.

  • Knowledge about backup/recovery technologies (Cloud based backup, Veeam Backup and Replication, Acronis imaging/backups)

  • Knowledge about security systems and data security.

  • Knowledge about computer hardware and peripherals.

  • Updating and closing out ticketing systems for work done.

  • Basic knowledge of ITIL service management.

  • Basic knowledge of voice over IP telephony service

  • Communicate clearly both written and verbal

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve on a regular basis

  • Work in a team as well as on own initiative

  • Be focused on the customer

  • Self-motivated

  • Flexible

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Basic administration, operation and maintenance of Virtual Environment based on VMware infrastructure (vSphere / ESX).

  • Working knowledge of Sophos solutions (UTM, EP, Safe Guard, MDM).

  • SQL database skills

  • SAN skills (Storage Area Network).

  • Network and system monitoring (i.e. Solarwinds Orion NPM/SAM, SpiceWorks, Nagios)

  • Knowledge and experience with Sophos UTM and/or Cisco ASA firewalls.

  • Scripting experience (PowerShell)

  • Knowledge of Maximo Asset Management System.

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001:2013 Standard requirements and best practices

  • 3rd level qualification in a technical or process discipline

  • Experience with private cloud multi-tenant environment.

  • Industry qualifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP

  • At least 3 year experience in and ICT business environment

  • SCADA Systems experience
