PROJECT:

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and is part of Egis Projects Ireland. We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). 

ERTO's responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and the MTCC. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance. We are located in the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3.

The position’s holder is responsible towards compliance with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the Egis Road and Tunnel Operation activities.

 

The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the ERTO IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the ERTO within all managed business units including Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and MTCC. IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT related activities of the ERTO, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT Department.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Management of ERTO IT Department including overseeing and developing IT staff;

  • Monitor, evaluate and periodically report on the overall IT Department performance and the ERTO IT infrastructure;

  • Implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures along with appropriate information security controls;

  • Manage all internal and external resources that may be assigned to IT Department;

  • Supports the Compliance Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of the ISO Standards;

  • Ensure that all procedures and policies from all of the standards adopted by ERTO are being followed;

  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures;

  • Manage an annual IT budget and scheduling expenditures;

  • Develop and manage all end user technical support;

  • Develop, implement and manage a data backup, security and data, disaster recovery polices;

  • Manage and assist with the deployment and development of new services and infrastructure;

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Control Systems Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent;

  • 5 years’ experience in SCADA/Controls Systems environment;

  • 5 years management experience;

  • Experience of virtual IT infrastructure.
