PROJECT:

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and is part of Egis Projects Ireland. We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). 

ERTO's responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and the MTCC. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance. We are located in the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3.

The position’s holder is responsible towards compliance with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the Egis Road and Tunnel Operation activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Developing and maintaining BIM Execution Plans;

  • Maintaining the existing model;

  • Ensuring that all changes to assets are adequately reflected in the model;

  • Coordinating with the BIM Technician, other departments and subcontractors throughout the design and construction phases;

  • Quality control and monitoring of ERTO and subcontractor BIM models/drawings;

  • Integrating existing and new drawings & other information into the ERTO BIM;

  • Producing drawings and sketches from the model to assist other departments and subcontractors;

  • Developing and maintaining ERTO’s BIM document control process and procedures in line with current best practices;

  • Supporting the QESH Administrator in document control activities;

  • Developing and delivering internal training to staff;

  • Liaising internally and externally on all matters relating to the ERTO BIM;

  • Preparing reports;

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 4 years relevant experience;

  • Previous background / experience in a similar role;

  • Understanding of project workflows (design, estimation, construction, administration, coordination);

  • Knowledge of industry standards, data formats and interoperability;

  • Excellent attention to detail;

  • Good management / organisational skills;

  • Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative;

  • Good communication skills;
