PROJECT:

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and is part of Egis Projects Ireland. We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). 

ERTO's responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and the MTCC. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance. We are located in the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3.

The position’s holder is responsible towards compliance with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the Egis Road and Tunnel Operation activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist the Technical Services Coordinator with the management of the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) maintenance and facilities teams at Dublin Tunnel (DT) and Jack Lynch Tunnel (JLT)

  • Perform M&E and Civil related tasks as deemed necessary to perform your role

  • Work alongside Maintenance Technicians in the field as required to provide support and guidance

  • Completes the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities throughout the site

  • Ensure Maintenance Activities are recorded in line with Asset Management Best Practices, Asset Management Policy, Strategy and Objectives, and ERTO’s Contractors Plan

  • Schedules Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) works to ensure that maintenance on an asset is in accordance with the Service Information , System O&M’s and our Maintenance Management System (MMS)

  • Completes internal audits on the MMS and the Store's Inventory. A review of all work orders is undertaken to determine that ERTO's KPIs are met and reported as required

  • Coordinates on-going reviews of PMs and relevant Job Plan (JP) content to ensure that ERTO are maintaining each asset, and update as required and to ensure that the job plans are user friendly and fit for purpose. Ensure PMs are updated as required if experience or knowledge determine that the frequency or method of works should be altered

  • Carry out training where required, system specific and MMS training

  • Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with site rules (Method Statement Risk Assessment (MSRAs), permits, site specific induction, work orders) and organise spare parts and work equipment

  • Liaison with the Planning and Reliability Engineer and coordination and scheduling of Preventive Maintenance (PM) programme and other deliverables

  • Assist with the development of Weekly, Monthly and Annual maintenance work plans and

  • Assist in the generation of the Monthly Service Reports for JLT, DT and Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC)

  • Assistance with general report writing to ensure compliance with the Contract

  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are undertaken in line with Company Standards ISO 55001:2014, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2004

  • Supervise on site during scheduled and unscheduled tunnel closures

  • Manage and compile maintenance contract tender packages and review tender submissions, Business Cases and Forward Capital Works Programme                              

  • Manage and support the maintenance/infrastructure and project team including Technicians, Engineers, Planners, and Contractors etc

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years experience as a maintenance technician with previous track record of supervisory experience

  • Fully qualified electrician

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Good communication skills: verbal/written (in English)

  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook in particular

  •  Flexibility to work on call when required
